Job Description:

Operandi.Law is looking for an intern to join our New Technology Law team, working on cutting-edge legal issues related to AI governance, GDPR compliance, and commercial contracts.

Our clients are fast-growing tech scale-ups in the LegalTech, HealthTech, and RetailTech sectors with strong international reach.

As an intern, you will be immersed in the technology field through our innovative clients and fully involved at all stages of a matter. You will join a dynamic, demanding and supportive firm that welcomes between 3 and 6 interns throughout the year. You will work directly with the partner in charge of the practice, benefiting from training and increasing responsibilities within a rapidly growing firm.

Your Missions:

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Commercial Contracts: Participating in contract drafting, negotiations, meetings, and client follow-ups.

  • AI:  Advising clients on AI system integrations (contracts, IT, data protection) and more generally on the structuring of complex IT projects.

  • GDPR: Assisting with GDPR compliance (audits, action plans, DPIAs, LIAs, policy drafting, etc.).

  • Audits: Acquisition audits (preparing due diligence reports on commercial contracts and data protection aspects).

  • Knowledge: Conducting legal research and drafting memos, articles and updates on the latest developments in technology law.

Profile Sought:
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), as most of our clients work in English.

  • Master’s degree in law with a focus on technology, digital law, data protection, and/or AI.

  • Autonomy as well as the ability to work in a team.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including to clearly communicate on complex tech-law issues.

  • Alignment with our values: excellence, client-focused, humility, and positive energy
