ILSTA is a leading rule of law capacity building agency in the Lao PDR, trusted by government, judicial and law enforcement partners to deliver high impact training and technical assistance.
We are recruiting an experienced Trainer to design and deliver specialist courses on legal frameworks in international criminal law.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

·        Develop comprehensive training curricula and materials on organised crime law and related investigative procedures.
·        Deliver engaging workshops and seminars for prosecutors, judges, investigators and other justice sector professionals.
·        Assess national legislation and institutional procedures, pinpoint gaps and recommend practical improvements.
·        Produce guidance documents, standard operating procedures and advisory briefs for partner institutions.
·        Deliver results autonomously while aligning with ILSTA’s strategic priorities and quality benchmarks.

WHO YOU ARE
·        At least 5 years’ experience in organised crime law, criminal justice training or related consultancy.
·        Proven record of capacity building for criminal justice or law enforcement stakeholders.
·        Experience working in Southeast Asia is an asset.
·        In depth knowledge of the UN conventions and related instruments.
·        Proactive and able to work independently while meeting management guidance and tight deadlines.
·        Excellent research, drafting and presentation skills.
·        Advanced degree in international criminal law, organised crime law, or a closely related legal discipline.

CONTRACT PACKAGE
    •    Duration: 3 months (June – August 2025) – renewable subject to performance.
    •    Location: Vientiane, Lao PDR, with occasional in country travel.
    •    Fee: Competitive, based on experience and deliverables.
